The descent into homelessness, depression, societal fall from grace and the consequent poison that is loneliness have their seeds in failure to nurture relationships.
Hustle if that's your thing. Work 100 hours a week if that rocks your world. Cultivate your Alpha but be wary the price of burning bridges.
Matrimony, connectivity with the kids, the ensemble that featured in your wedding photo (s) can fade to fleeting memory, receding footprints on the route to conquering Everest.
The magic comes not from the sowing of connectivity seeds but in their long term nurture.
2018: Worry less, nothing is real.
All our beliefs are fairytales (that's why we label them as beliefs not verifiable truths) and new more empowering fairytales can be dreamt up to replace the old nonsense.
Bullying, depression, intimidation, feelings of inadequacy, are rampant and yet whilst they feel real they're not. Trees seem like they're green, they're not, it's a trick of the light.
People seem unkind, they're not, it's a (non personal) conditioned reflex behaviour. Not giving a **** can be a sociopathic condition, but reframing events in our lives as 'not real' is contextually healthy.
The nonsense (unreal) I'm choosing to embrace in 2018 is that everyone who crosses my path does so for a good reason that serves a yet to be understood greater purpose.
