Attitude invariably orientates our resolve. Hope can be the first step towards a much more powerful state of being, that of belief. The danger however of inhabiting the vortex of Hope for too long, is that it dilutes the impulse for actual action.
We can Hope to win Lotto, and that hope may propel us in the direction of a purveyor of Lotto tickets, but is hardly what anyone would define as a life strategy. I hope that the sun shines tomorrow, that world peace erupts, that good intentions always produce good results, and that day dreams of a perfect life mysteriously manifest upon awakening.
Of course in the cold harsh light of day we recognise the disconnect between fantasy and reality. Hope may indeed lead to aspiration and consequently the requisite resolve to create our future, but of itself Hope offers little but perhaps an excuse to procrastinate.
Strategy always follows an aspirational idea. Dream it, visualise it, play it forward, articulate it, share it, believe it, attract it, expect it, and unseen forces will draw the people and circumstances into your life to actualise it.
Dream Big but move beyond Hope!
