Our species arrive in the world only partially assembled, blame this evolutionary outcome on our ridiculously large brains. Consequently we have zero chance of survival without years of nurture and heavy emphasis on touch and eye contact. Withhold either or both in these formative months and behold a problem unfolding.
Eye contact is diminishing as parents juggle feeding time with digital time (simultaneously). 2 year olds are now reciprocating as they plug into their own devices 24/7. I'm seeing expression of interest in job and business opportunities manifesting in a one word response. 'Interested'. I'm sceptical!
Economic success or struggle in first world economies is weighted heavily in favour of communicators. You may be purveyors of BS, but if executed with belief, passion and enthusiasm you will garner a tribe.
Your MBA if not accompanied by expression and style may qualify you for a job but unlikely pave the road to running your own business. Intelligence, education and life experience are attractive to employers but passion adds the necessary spark to succeed independently.
