For some it's energy drinks, others coffee, a few take the cocaine route and some venture down the path of a cheeky afternoon stiff drink. The problem of course is that these temporary hits wear off pretty quick, until we find ourselves unable to perform even at our B level without assistance.
Some alternatives: Music, listening to an inspiring podcast, reading a chapter or even a page from an empowering book, jumping on to youtube and finding a 5 minute video that inspires.
I've tried all the above (except the cocaine) and the latter options are infinitely more sustainable. And since I cut my sugar consumption by 95% last year I've added a daily bulletproof coffee to the mix. Worth a Google if you're not yet in the know :)
