Setting ambitious goals, and revealing them to all and sundry is risky....big goals risk big failure, and sharing those goals risks embarrassment and a bruised ego.....which is partly the point of burning the bridges anyway!
This better version project kicked off in my own life 6 months ago slowly evolving in to this group, many of you who are perhaps sitting on the sidelines undecided whether to dive in yet until your personal belief hits a tipping point.
I'm hopeful that sharing the results of some incremental habits will encourage you to release the handbrakes on your personal vision and chase your own destiny.
There have been some successes and some fails. I'm being philosophical about this journey...the intention is not to just become obsessive for the sake of introducing ever more habits. Some stick and some suck!
The key I think is to get in the habit of setting new habits and then pruning them until you have a sustainable set of more empowering beliefs and activities.
Apple Cider Vinegar. Gave this up after a few days.
Meditation. The intention was 7 days a week, I've drifted back to 1 or 2 days.
Facebook Live. Intention was to do a minute or so every morning. This looks like a habit that still has implementation potential.
Podcasts. Another intention that procrastination has hand braked, but still on the radar.
Relationship development. the intention of setting up daily catch ups with new people and those i've lost touch with has yet to find its feet (procrastination)
New Habits. The goal was to introduce 1 new habit a week, currently this has slipped to one per 5 or 6 weeks
Promoting this group. organically we're at around 150 I've been slack in pumping it to get momentum, but still an intention to grow to 10K+ (with our members help!)
90% sugar Reduction (100% Elimination of chocolate, pastries, biscuits etc) occasional cheat only ice cream and small coke with spirits.
70% reduction of carbohydrates. 1 slice of toast, a beer, sweet potato chips in moderation make up the 30%
Return to the gym after 4 years. Maintaining 3 sessions per week.
Daily exercise (on my spreadsheet for those interested) averaging a day off every 9-10 days.
Supplementation: MCT Oil (Bulletproof coffee), Coconut oil, Magnesium, Collagen (3-4 x per week)
Getting up an hour earlier
Cold showers (6 weeks since I last had a warm one)
30 Minutes a day micro blogging content for better version project across social media platforms
Minimum 30 minutes personal growth investment, books, documentaries etc
